First Grade Newsletter

Insect Program

         We will have a short program June 5th at 12:15 PM in the classroom. It will include songs, poems, a reader’s theater and a slide show. Generally it lasts about 25 minutes. You should find in your child’s papers the reader’s theater script. Please help your child to review his/her part this week. You may keep the script. The parts do not need to be memorized, but please encourage your child to read with expression and to use a clear voice. Thanks so much!

 

Summer Birthdays

         Four of the children have summer birthdays. We will plan to sing to each of the children and to give them a birthday crown/sticker on Tuesday, June 6th.

         Thanks so much to all of you who came to help chaperone during our field trip to Pullman. You were a great help and the children enjoyed having so many parents along!!

 

Last Day Class Breakfast

         We will have breakfast in the classroom the morning of our last day of school…June 10th. We will have doughnuts, juice, sausage and fruit.

         It has been a wonderful year…thanks so much for the privilege of working with your children!!
